Tracking Progress

Assessment & Progress Monitoring

We employ a continuous assessment framework that ensures every child's progress is carefully tracked and supported throughout their learning journey.

  • Baseline Assessment — conducted upon entry to establish each child's starting point
  • Formative Assessment — ongoing teacher observations and classwork reviews
  • Summative Assessment — termly tests and end-of-year examinations
  • Progress Reports — detailed reports shared with parents each term
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences — regular meetings to discuss development

Early Years Profile

Each child's development is recorded against the 17 Early Learning Goals at the end of the EYFS stage.

Phonics Screening Check

Year 1 pupils complete the statutory phonics screening to ensure strong reading foundations.

End of Key Stage Tests

Formal assessments at Year 2 and Year 6 measure progress against national expectations.
